What do you enjoy most about your craft?
I have always found mechanical things intriguing. What I enjoy most about my craft is the endless variety of skills I can learn and incorporate into my creations. My craft gives me the opportunity to be artistic in a variety of mediums including: woodworking, metal working, metal machining, glass cutting, metal casting and many more. As I design my clocks, I enjoy learning and studying new skills and other crafts that would intertwine well with my own.
Why is it important for people to make things with their own hands?
By working with your hands, you learn to appreciate more and more what goes into creating an object of beauty. I find there are few things more rewarding in life than to create something from scratch, by hand.
